Why??  A customer of ours sent a letter to the BBB stating he had called Jameson Medical "no less than 16 times" with no resolution.  We called the customer to investigate ... only to find out he was calling the factory NOT Jameson Medical.  He was asked by Jameson Medical to withdraw his complaint ... he refused.  Jameson Medical refused to further assist him.  He informed us that he planned on reporting Jameson Medical to the BBB.  The president of Jameson Medical told him - "I really don't give a damn if you report us to the BBB and I really don't give a damn what the BBB says."  Several weeks later, the BBB called and we verified and affirmed our position.  The BBB (in all of their brilliance) told us we were not allowed to ask a customer to revoke their letter and the BBB intended on keeping the original letter on file and hold it against us as a legitimate complaint.  (They NEVER bothered to confirm the inaccuracy of the original letter and intended to hold the complaint on file as a legitimate complaint.)  The BBB of Richmond, VA informed us they were going to change our rating from an A+ to a B+.  They were told if that were to happen, send us a refund ... we are all done.  The BBB told Jameson Medical the change was going to take effect and agreed to a refund.   The BBB then changed our rating to a B- .  The BBB of Richmond, Virginia took nearly eight months to send a refund.  In my most humble opinion, the standards of business practice of Jameson Medical far outweigh those of the Richmond, VA Better Business Bureau.  Needless to say, the BBB of Charlotte, NC was more than  "surprised" by the actions of the Richmond, VA office.

 

Additionally - Jameson Medical has been invited to join the Charlotte, NC branch of the BBB.  (see below)

After speaking with our CEO I was right in my initial thinking…There’s no way to tie the reports together to show how long you’ve been BBB Accredited because these are two separate locations / BBBs. I hope over time your perception of the BBB as a whole changes for the better. While we are all one in concept we may not all handle business matters the same way (Richmond & Charlotte, NC).
